ArmInfo. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh, pointing out the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, stressed the need to urgently establish a stable peace in the South Caucasus.
As reported by the Iranian IRNA agency, Khatibzadeh expressed regret in connection with the death and injury of servicemen of the two sides. He stated the need for a peaceful "settlement of border disputes between the two countries."
Khatibzadeh also expressed the readiness of the Islamic Republic to achieve sustainable peace in the South Caucasus.
