This was announced on July 22 at a government meeting by acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
According to Pashinyan, all vaccines used in Armenia, act against all existing strains. As pointed out by the acting head of government, the vaccination process should be actively promoted in government agencies. In this regard, he expressed hope for the conscientiousness and responsibility of civil servants, otherwise "they will be forced to apply measures of administrative coercion."
Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan, in turn, noted that in recent days there has been a slow increase in the daily number of infected people. "If last week it did not exceed 200 cases per day, then this week the figure was exceeded - yesterday 220 cases were recorded, today (July 21) 225. The upward trend will continue in the coming days," she said. According to her, more than 5 thousand citizens are vaccinated in Armenia every day.
To note,, according to the Ministry of Health, since the outbreak of the pandemic in Armenia, 228 161 cases of coronavirus infection (17.7%) have been registered, while 218 676 people (95.8%) recovered, the number of deaths reached 4575 (2%). In total, 1,287,379 coronavirus tests were carried out in Armenia. As of today, 97,711 people were vaccinated in Armenia, of which 5,416 were vaccinated only in the last 24 hours. Today, in Armenia, vaccines made in Russia (Sputnik V), British-Swedish (AstraZeneca) and Chinese (Koronavak) are available without any restrictions.
