ArmInfo. The vote in favor of Nikol Pashinyan and the "former authorities" was led by the false agenda laid down in the basis of the elections. Meanwhile, it is no secret that before the elections, the reluctance to see both Pashinyan and the "former authorities" in the parliament prevailed in the public consciousness and mood. Leader of the Constructive Party of Armenia, political scientist Andrias Ghukasyan, expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
"Our society was shown a show with a pre-planned and agreed outcome. The highlight of the show was the fictional threat of civil war, if the people do not vote for Pashinyan. As part of the show, swearing, insults, a demonstration of an outrageous degree of hatred, hammers, sickles and similar stage attributes were used. All these actions had nothing to do with democratic elections and the election results clearly demonstrated this, "he stressed.
According to Ghukasyan, as a result of the successful formation of a false agenda, citizens voted in favor of returning the Karabakh clan, an oligarchy from the times of all three former presidents, to the parliament, and in favor of keeping the parliamentary tribune under the control of pro-Russian forces. According to him, the Constructive Party is not going to accept the results of elections held in such inappropriate conditions. Especially in light of the dubiously high results of Pashinyan and the complete inability of Robert Kocharian to exercise control over the election process, thereby realizing his voluntarily undertaken mission.
Returning to the possible consequences of the activities of the parliament of the 8th convocation, the political scientist stressed that, taking into account the fact of the formation of the pro-Russian forces, the new National Assembly will do everything to fail the process of implementing the Armenia-EU Cooperation Agreement. In particular, the process of fulfilling Yerevan's obligations to bring the country's legislation up to European criteria within a five-year period. Or it implements these obligations in a way that will lead to the minimization of practically all the possibilities arising from this agreement.
"The parliament of the 8th convocation does not reflect the interests of Armenia, reflecting the interests of the oligarchy, the continuation of the current disappointing socio-economic situation and capitulators. In foreign policy, Armenia remained under the influence of Moscow, and in domestic policy, under the influence of the oligarchy, which automatically excludes the possibility of economic development. All this it is quite obvious and society has quite consciously given its consent to all this, "Ghukasyan summed up.
According to the preliminary results of the CEC, Pashinyan's "Civil Contract" party won the early parliamentary elections in Armenia by 687,251 votes(53.92%) . Pashinyan won in all regions of Armenia, including Yerevan. Of the remaining 25 political forces that took part in the elections, only the "Armenia" bloc (by 268,165 votes- 21.04%) , and the "I Have Honor" bloc (5.23% ), as the third force provided by the legislation, will be represented in the new parliament. All other political forces together collected 15.7%. Of the 2.578 million citizens eligible to vote, 1,281,174 or 49.4% of voters took part in the voting.
