ArmInfo.The funding of science in Armenia will increase annually. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at the National Assembly on April 14. Noting that this year the funding of the scientific sphere was increased by 14.5%, or by 2 billion drams, the Prime Minister said that starting from 2022 to 2025, the state intends to increase the budget of science by 3-5 billion drams on average.
In addition, Pashinyan said that along with the current system of increasing teachers ' salaries, it was decided to introduce a credit system for researchers (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System-ECTS-Ed.), starting from graduate students, ending with the directors of research institutes.
In this context, the Head of government recalled that as a result of the system of professional development of teachers, the salaries of the latter will also increase proportionally. "Teachers' salaries will increase as a result of the accumulation of credits as part of the certification process, " he explained. It has already been decided to increase teachers ' salaries by 30-50%.
