ArmInfo.The office of the Commissioner for Diaspora RA started the two-week project "Step to Home" started, which makes it possible for teenagers of diaspora to develop and strengthen their national identity and better learn their homeland.
According to the office, the summer camp program starts on June 21 and will last until August 14. It will take place in the 4th stage for 200 boys and girls from the diaspora who arrived from different parts of the world. Each stage will be saturated with interesting events, including the courses of East Armenian and West Armenian languages, visits to historical, cultural, educational institutions of Armenia, rural communities, etc.
Applications are accepted from representatives from the diaspora who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia (with the exception of persons with dual citizenship) and in previous years did not participate in the programs "Ari Tun" and "Step to Home". All organizational costs on the 14-day program are paid by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, including camping, accommodation and food, sightseeing, meetings, etc. However, participants must independently purchase a ticket to Armenia and back, as well as pay two-week tourist insurance. An application for participation can be submitted a week before the start of each stage.
