Representing this bill, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Mesrop Arakelyan explained that on the basis of international experience in these centers, programs of independent life will be implemented, the beneficiaries will be provided with personal care services, professional definition, career planning, etc.
At the first stage, according to him, these centers will be founded in 6 regions of the country, where the number of citizens with disabilities is relatively larger than in other settlements. In addition, taking into account the fact that basic services are provided in Yerevan, the centers will appear in the regions most distant from the capital, which will ensure more accessibility to them.

Regarding prosthetics, the minister said that the results of the first stage of the relevant program were summed up, under which, according to International standards, a comprehensive assessment of the physical condition of the prosthetics of citizens and their living conditions was carried out.
In this context, the head of the Society recalled the existing agreement with European and American prosthetics companies, within which citizens will be provided with multifunctional modern prostheses, moreover, consumer conditions will be given for the full integration of the latter to new realities of life. At the same time, as Arakelian emphasized, price restrictions are excluded. , he stressed.
It should be noted that under the Regulation on February 23, this year, as a result of the Artsakh war, 590 people - the participants in battles were disability. In particular, 82 citizens received 1 group of disability, 2 groups - 173, and 3 of the disability group was assigned to 335 citizens. According to the Ministry of Health, 150 people need prosthetics.
