ArmInfo.Our main problem today is insufficiently effective management of the country and generally problematic manageability. President of Yerevan Press Club  Boris Navasardyan expressed this opinion to ArmInfo.

"The reason is the lack of work of state structures at the level that  the current crisis situation presupposes and requires. And the  emergence of the Strong Armenia with Russia movement, no doubt, is a  derivative of this and many other internal Armenian problems. Seeing  their own inability to solve their own problems, people try to find a  sponsor, a center of power that can solve these problems instead of  them. A center that can bring stability and security, "he said.

Navasardyan, in this light, noted that in conditions when such a  center of power is located outside Armenia, people are trying to  transfer the steering wheel to this center. Even if this center is a  different state. In other words, there is a clear logic, abundantly  flavored with pragmatism.

The expert stressed that against the background of the presence of  such sentiments among the majority of the Armenian society,  practically all active political forces in Armenia are ready to  promise the electorate to deepen relations with Russia in all  possible directions. A similar line, according to his estimates, is  observed both among the ruling political force and among  parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition parties.

"In this light, the emergence of a" Strong Armenia with Russia "is  not surprising. And the only reason that does not contribute to the  emergence of Armenia in a common state with Russia and Belarus is  Moscow's unwillingness to shoulder an additional burden. I suppose  that any formal, exceeding the existing level, rapprochement with  Armenia is simply not necessary for Russia, "he stressed.

Meanwhile, another independent analyst Saro Saroyan has a different  point of view. He believes that the driving force behind the "Strong  Armenia with Russia" initiative is the Kremlin itself. "It is the  Kremlin, not these people, who initiated this process," Saroyan said  in an interview with ArmInfo. According to him, the essence of the  concept "Strong Armenia with Russia" is precisely in the advancement  of the idea of involving Armenia in Russia to another level in the  consciousness of the Armenian society. The analyst assesses such a  political line as directed against the sovereignty and territorial  integrity of Armenia, as a challenge to the state security of Armenia  .

According to him, this movement is another indicator of probing  public sentiments in Armenia, in addition to those already existing  and tested in the past. The only difference is that the difference  from the mechanisms of the past, "Strong Armenia with Russia" is  already manifested in deeds.

Commenting on the prospects of this undertaking, the analyst stressed  that its external sponsor is a huge country with unlimited resources,  but with very weak, as he believes, geopolitical positions.

However, according to Saroyan, from the point of view of the  implementation of this program was chosen by its initiators and  authors very correctly. "At the same time, opposition to the concept  of" Strong Armenia with Russia "will be quite powerful," the analyst  said. And, nevertheless, according to the expert, the level of  Armenia's dependence on Russia that exists today and without any  formal changes is already quite satisfying to Moscow. Meanwhile, as  any new, backed by a union treaty, obligations, according to his  forecasts, will only limit Russia's ability to conduct its own  flexible policy in the region.
