ArmInfo. The author of the book "Lament of the Armenian Mother: Sumgait Genocide of 1988", Polish politician Tomas Lech Buchek sent today to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the first copy No. 1 (0001) of his publication on the crimes of Azerbaijan against Armenians "Karabakh 2020".
As Buchek reported on his Facebook page, a letter was also attached to the publication in which he asks Aliyev to release the Armenian prisoners.
In his letter to Aliyev, Buchek, in particular, wrote: "First of all, I appeal to Your Excellency with a request to release the Armenian prisoners of war imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Desperate families - mothers, wives and children - await them at home. Their release would become a fact of huge importance, demonstrating the desire for world peace.
I also ask you to provide information on the exact number of arrested Armenian prisoners of war, and through international organizations to provide information on their state of health. I also urge to take legal action against criminals of Azerbaijani citizens who committed war crimes during the Karabakh conflict in violation of international conventions and legislation, as well as the laws of Azerbaijan. "
Recall that Thomas Lech Buchek previously submitted a petition to Change.org, proposing to bring Azerbaijan to an international court for crimes against humanity.
