APA reports that he noted that the ceasefire in Karabakh should be more stable, creating conditions for the revival of trade and economic ties.
At the same time, on the eve of his visit to Ankara on the air of the Iranian state television, Zarif said that Turkish-Iranian cooperation in regional issues is of vital importance.
"Our relationship requires constant consultation, because our bilateral relationship, as well as our regional cooperation, is vital," Zarif said.
He emphasized that Tehran attaches great importance to relations with Turkey.
According to the Iranian minister, during his visit to Turkey, bilateral and regional issues will be discussed, including the establishment of transit routes and the establishment of lasting peace in the Caucasus region. "For a lasting peace in the Caucasus, it is necessary that preliminary conditions for this be created through cooperation," he stressed.
The diplomat also touched upon the formation of a platform of six-party cooperation on Nagorno- Karabakh.
