ArmInfo.Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister
Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on January 11, which counts on reaching agreements on all issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh, TASS reports.
The Russian leader also thanked his colleague for agreeing to come to Moscow for trilateral talks on Karabakh.
"In my opinion, indeed, despite the problems you mentioned and which still remain unresolved, I hope that we will still manage to agree on all problems, including humanitarian issues," Putin said.
In the opinion of the Russian president, on the whole, the trilateral meeting of the leaders held on Monday was useful. "So that we can determine the future of the region and the building of relations in the region, first of all, of course, between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he said. Putin also drew attention to the fact that relations between Russia and Armenia "were, remain and will be allied" in all directions. "We are close partners in many international organizations," he said.
The Russian leader noted that, despite the "difficult last year," the trade between Russia and Armenia in January-October 2020 increased by almost 4%. "All this gives reason to hope that, as the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh is settled, we will come up with solutions that will undoubtedly benefit the Armenian people, the Armenian state and our bilateral relations," the Russian president summed up.
