ArmInfo. Armenia's problem is not to remove the incumbent government from the levers of control; the problem is what to do next. Political scientist, director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan stated this at a video press conference.
In his words, today it is difficult to predict whom the citizens of Armenia will vote for if parliamentary elections are held tomorrow. For which political parties and forces the citizens of the country will vote. At the same time, the political scientist expressed doubt that the currently ruling <My Step> bloc will gain the required number of votes, just as there is no confidence in the success of the Prosperous Armenia party headed by Gagik Tsarukyan in the elections. And for this reason, it is not known who will negotiate with Azerbaijan for each piece, for each meter of territory. The problem, as Iskandaryan noted, is not in the formation of the army, but in a very acute political crisis, when it is necessary to restart the state. "It is necessary to build the basis of the state, to decide on the question of who will plan the correct policy of this or that state body, what managers will come. The problem is this," the political scientist believes, noting that the task should be creation, not destruction.
Today, Iskandaryan continued, almost all political forces are working to destroy the basis that, with fits and starts, has been created over the past 30 years. Assuming a possible change of power, the political scientist expressed doubts about the effectiveness of the new rulers, who are currently united by their speeches in the squares on a negative basis, opposing the current order. But what will happen if this order disappears, Iskandaryan asks, adding that they will immediately quarrel. "A struggle for positions will begin, the government will have to include in its composition people who stood in the squares, but who are not capable of managing," the political scientist said.
In his opinion, Nikol Pashinyan is the materialization of aspirations of a huge number of people who, in order to dismiss the previous government, were ready to vote for parliament, not knowing practically anything about the candidates. This parliament is called in international practice as an unknown parliament. There has never been such an unknown parliament in the history of Armenia. And if Nikol Pashinyan had proposed completely different people, he would have been elected with exactly the same success, because it was not the parliament itself that was elected, but the mood that reigned 2.5 years ago. "At the same time, a primitive approach to politics was chosen according to the principle" we bring good people and everything will be fine. "People chose the hope for a miracle. CCTV cameras will be removed, the money that will be taken from the oligarchs will be directed to a threefold increase in salaries, etc. etc. ", - said the political scientist. He stated that the problem of building a state cannot be solved simply and quickly. These are the problems of institutionalization, consensus, development of various ways of management, "" We will lose the places that Azerbaijanis will take, even if tomorrow other people come to power in the country. We'll lose it anyway. We need to raise the country. The problem is complicated, but it is necessary to follow this path, "the political scientist emphasized.
