ArmInfo. Rapid response teams of the Office of the Ombudsman of Armenia visit Police Departments, where the detained participants of the disobedience  action demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan are being brought bring.

As the press service of the RA Ombudsman's office told ArmInfo: "During the visits, private conversations will be held with the detained citizens, the grounds  for their detention and the state of observance of their rights, as  well as documents prepared by law enforcement agencies on this  matter, will be studied. The Office of the Human Rights Defender also  continues to monitor the ongoing actions, "the office said in a  statement.

Earlier, the Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan issued a statement in  which he called for unity and solidarity in the light of the  processes that the country is going through today.

At the same time, he stressed that each of the state bodies, in  accordance with their competence, is obliged to guarantee the rule of  law in their actions and in the country, to ensure high protection of  human rights. "The imperative to tackle the problems facing the  country requires each of us to be vigilant and pay more attention to  our words and behavior in order to ensure an environment of  solidarity and peace in our country. The words and behavior of public  figures today play an important role, serving as an example of  solidarity and consolidation. Regardless of political or other  visions, one should not allow, one should simply exclude any  development of events or incidents that may lead to tension," Tatoyan  stressed, adding that all measures to protect human rights will be  taken within the powers vested in the Defender by law.

To note at 12:00 Yerevan time the term of the ultimatum expired,  which the opposition gave to the incumbent Prime Minister of Armenia  Nikol Pashinyan, so that he voluntarily and bloodlessly surrender  power and resign. Opposition forces have presented a single RA Prime  Minister in the person of Vazgen Manukyan, who will take the place of  Pashinyan and form an interim government that will take the country  out of the crisis that emerged after the signing on November 9 of the  notorious document on surrender in the war over Nagorno-Karabakh.   Manukyan also undertakes to organize elections to the country's  parliament within a year, in which he and his team will not take  part.

And since the Prime Minister of Armenia is not going to resign, the  opposition is carrying out actions of disobedience in the form of  blocking streets in order to paralyze traffic and not only in  Yerevan, but also in the regions of Armenia. At that moment, a  collapse was created in Yerevan.  Opposition representatives are  blocking all major transport routes of the city. The activities of  the Yerevan Metro were temporarily blocked. Today, opposition parties  are trying to get Pashinyan to leave with his own methods, which he  resorted to 2.5 years ago. The police have already detained 34  people. Among the detainees is a representative of the ARF  "Dashnaktsutyun" party Gegham Manukyan.
