ArmInfo. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the statements of the German Foreign Minister on the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh strange.
So, on November 26, at a press conference following a meeting of the collegium of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Belarus, Lavrov, commenting on the program of the country's chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (Committee), presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas, noted that this was done rudely, undiplomatic, in places Russophobic.
"This is probably no longer a big secret, at the Committee meeting, Heiko Mass, in general, presented his program for the next six months in a politicized manner, in an unacceptable tone, I would even say, humanly rude, non-diplomatic. He also made a lot of Russophobic statements, not only against the Republic of Belarus there were claims, but also Russophobic, unfounded accusations about Crimea, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria, South-East of Ukraine, and he spoke rather strangely about reaching an agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh," Lavrov said.
From November 2020 to May 2021, Germany chairs the Council of Europe's statutory body - the Committee of Foreign Ministers.
