ArmInfo. Former head of the National Security Service of Armenia, head of the Rodina party Artur Vanetsyan has been summoned to the Special Investigation Service. A member of the Homelad party Babken Harutyunyan announced this on his Facebook page.
Harutyunyan noted that Vanetsyan has been summoned to the SIS at 4:00 pm, that is, at the time when the opposition rally should start. "It is obvious that the main goal of the authorities is to hinder Vanetsyan's participation and speech at today's rally," Harutyunyan noted.
To note, it is not the first time that Vanetsyan has been summoned to the law enforcement agencies. Earlier, Vanetsyan was detained on suspicion of preparing the usurpation of power, illegal acquisition and storage of weapons, as well as an assassination attempt on the Prime Minister of Armenia. However, the court found Vanetsyan's arrest unlawful and released him. To recall, today at 6:00 pm a rally will be held on Freedom Square in Yerevan demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan.
