Foreign Ministers of Russia and Austria discussed Karabakh

ArmInfo.  On November 17, at the initiative of the Austrian side, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov  and the Federal Minister for European and Foreign Affairs of the  Austrian Republic Alexander Schallenberg.

During the conversation, Sergei Lavrov informed his counterpart in  detail about the mediation efforts undertaken by Russia with a view  to a complete ceasefire in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict  since November 10 of this year, and the current situation in the  region, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.  The ministers agreed on the need for the active involvement of  international organizations, including the UNHCR, UNESCO, ICRC, to  address humanitarian problems and protect the cultural and religious  heritage in the region.
