ArmInfo. Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan sent a letter of gratitude to the employees of Artsakh diplomatic service.
As reported by the NKR Foreign Ministry, the message, in particular, reads: Dear employees of the diplomatic service of the Republic of Artsakh, Our Motherland is going through a period of hardest trial, leading a heroic struggle not only for the right of the Armenians of Artsakh to live, but also, without exaggeration, for a worthy future for the entire Armenian people. This the struggle is full of numerous episodes of unparalleled heroism, self-sacrifice and selfless devotion to the Motherland of the servicemen of the Artsakh Defense Army, volunteers and militias. I express my deep gratitude to everyone who defended our freedom with arms in hand, and also bow my head to the blessed memory of the Armenian soldiers who fell in battle. The memory of those who sacrificed themselves in this unequal struggle will forever remain in our hearts. At the same time, I cannot fail to note the work of those who performed their professional duty in other spheres of activity. In particular, I want to thank you - employees of the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, permanent missions of the Republic of Artsakh abroad, special gratitude to all those who readily helped us in our work to inform the international community about our just struggle, counter anti-Armenian propaganda, consolidate international support to the people of Artsakh. Our employees fought not only on the diplomatic front, but also on the battlefield. To our great regret, the head of the Diaspora department, Yervand Hajiyan, died on the front line, and in the very first days of the enemy's aggression he volunteered for war. In this difficult time for Artsakh, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh in Armenia Arsen Parsamyan devoted himself entirely to serving the Motherland - and his heart could not stand it. Blessed memory of them. During the fighting, an employee of the state protocol service Samvel Saryan was seriously injured. We wish him a speedy recovery and return to diplomatic service.
During the days of military aggression against our people, the Artsakh Foreign Ministry prepared and disseminated dozens of statements and comments in which the position of the Republic of Artsakh regarding the armed aggression and the way out of the current situation were presented in detail. Most of the statements as official documents were circulated in such international organizations as the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, etc.
Together with the information center of Artsakh, our employees have done a great job to assist foreign journalists who came to Artsakh to cover the events taking place here. Hundreds of interviews were given to foreign and Armenian media. In addition to its main functions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided assistance to other structures, in particular, helped the National Assembly of the republic to maintain international relations, the office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh - in distributing reports in international organizations, the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons and other institutions.
The Artsakh Foreign Ministry, with the active assistance of Armenian organizations and individual representatives of the Diaspora around the world, as well as our good and loyal friends abroad, managed to achieve the adoption of several dozen resolutions by the legislative bodies of individual countries, regions, as well as city councils, condemning armed aggression against the people of Artsakh and expressing support for the independence of the Republic of Artsakh and the inalienable rights of its inhabitants. Once again I want to express my sincere gratitude to our professional team, which, in the most difficult conditions of war, literally around the clock fulfilled its civic and official duties and did everything possible and impossible so that the voice of Artsakh was heard in the international arena. I would especially like to thank our colleagues from the Republic of Armenia, the entire Armenian Diaspora and its individual representatives, as well as foreign friends of Artsakh, who have provided and continue to provide us with incredibly valuable assistance in our work.
I am confident that the diplomatic service of Artsakh in new, difficult conditions will continue to make all necessary efforts to protect and promote the vital interests of our people in the international arena and fight for the international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh. "
