


ArmInfo.The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service received precise data on the participation of militants from Syria in the battles in Nagorno-Karabakh, including from the partner intelligence services of the countries of the Middle East, said SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Naryshkin, the SVR "had accurate information about the presence of terrorists in the battle zone, including from the Middle East and, above all, from Syria."
"We receive this data from a number of countries, from different sources and from our various partners, partner services in the Middle East, Middle East," Naryshkin said.
Note that a few days earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with Kommersant that the number of mercenaries from the Middle East in the Karabakh conflict zone is approaching two thousand. Lavrov stressed that Russia is concerned about the internationalization of the conflict and the attraction of militants from the Middle East.
French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as leaders of a number of other states spoke publicly about mercenaries in the Karabakh conflict zone. A number of international authoritative publications also wrote about this, publishing reliable facts and schemes for their transfer by Turkey to Azerbaijan.
