So, today, the Iranian Army Air Force began the main phase of the Modafe'an-e Aseman-e Velayat (Defenders of the Sky under the tutelage of the Supreme Jurisprudence) exercise in Isfahan, central Iran. The spokesman for the exercise, the second Brigadier General Farhad Gudarzi, said that the two-day exercise is aimed at practicing the skills of countering proxies using modern methods, IRNA reports.
At the same time, he informed that the exercises involved Su-24 fighters and MiG-29, F-5, F-5, F-7 and F- 14 fighters, which have already undergone major overhaul by Iranian Air Force specialists, as well as various kinds drones.
The Brigadier General also added that Iran is committed to ensuring sustainable security. It is also worth noting that in addition to this, Iran came up with its own peace plan for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, which was promoted by the special envoy of the Iranian President, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Arkachi.
Thus, Arakchi in an interview with one of the Azerbaijani media once again emphasized that Iran's initiative to resolve the dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia involves the participation of influential countries in the region. According to him, Iran's plan to establish peace in the Nagorno-Karabakh region is based on realism, regional approaches and the participation of influential countries in the region.
