ArmInfo. During the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh, 39 people were killed among civilians. Rafael Vardanyan, the head of the criminal-legal department of the IC, announced this during a press conference.
Vardanyan noted that more than 120 settlements were shelled in Artsakh. The Azerbaijani side used various weapons prohibited by international conventions, for example, cluster munitions.
"In Artsakh, during the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression, 114 people were injured, 80 of them were seriously wounded. Also, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fire at journalists working in Artsakh. Also, during the shelling of the Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi, two Russian and one Armenian journalist were injured. And two journalists from France were wounded in Martuni, "said the head of the department.
Also, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired on the territory of Armenia, in particular, 16 settlements were fired upon. The city of Vardenis and villages in the Gegharkunik region, villages in the Kotayk region, the cities of Kapan and Goris and villages in the Syunik region, the village of Aygepar in the Tavush region, and the village of Kechut in the Vayots Dzor region were bombarded.
"During these attacks, 8 people were killed, and 11 civilians were injured of varying severity. Among the injured citizens were both civilians and military personnel who did not participate in hostilities. The damage was especially large," Vardanyan concluded.
