ArmInfo. In front of the building of the European Union office in Armenia, a protest action was held by the women and children of Artsakh, who demanded recognition of the independence of Karabakh.
According to the participants of the action, only by recognizing the independence of the NKR, it is possible to ensure peace in Artsakh. They noted that they have every right to live on their land. The protesters also demanded that the EU impose sanctions against Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The protesters brought a letter with them, which they intended to present to the head of the EU delegation to Armenia Andrea Victorin. However, as it turned out, due to the situation related to the coronavirus pandemic, no one was in the office, except for the security personnel.
The guards offered to hand over the letter or come back tomorrow to meet with someone from the office. The protesters announced that they would gather again tomorrow at 11:00, and if they cannot meet with Andrea Victorin, they will continue.
