ArmInfo. The Viasat American company, which produces military equipment, terminates its contract with Turkey for the supply of components for drones. President Government Systems at Viasat Ken Peterman stated this during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian Diaspora of San Diego, who gathered at the Viasat headquarters demanding to condemn the actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan, and to stop the supply of weapons that kill civilians.
As a result of the peaceful action, activists of the Armenian community were invited to the office of the company, where Ken Peterman spoke to them, who personally announced the decision to terminate the contract with Turkey.
In an interview with Channel 5 USA, Ken Peterman said that the company cooperates with the US Department of Defense, and supplies various military equipment manufactured for defensive purposes to all US partner countries. Peterman's conversation with American journalists was broadcasted live on Facebook by one of the activists of the Armenian community of San Diego, who translated the words of the head of Viasat.
"It is difficult to comment, my heart breaks with the thought of how many families have suffered in Artsakh because of terrorism. When we sold this equipment to the Turks, we did not know that it would be used for terrorist purposes. We oppose and condemn this aggression against civilians, as a result of which innocent people were killed. These could be our sons and daughters. I hope Mike Pompeo is already on his way to stop Turkey and "pull its ears". I am grateful for this peaceful action. I hope that their voice will be heard and terrorism will be stopped, " Peterman said, noting that he would do everything possible within his powers to stop the war.
At the same time, he promised that he would send a letter to the US Department of Defense, in which he wrote that the country, a NATO member, supplies drones to terrorists, from which they fire at hospitals and the church.
