ArmInfo. The Georgian Foreign Ministry continues to reject information about the transfer of weapons across its air borders to the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Thus, in a statement issued by the Georgian Foreign Ministry, they called the reports on military transportation through Georgian airspace speculation.
"Unfortunately, in recent days, speculations about possible military transportation through the airspace of Georgia continue to be circulated in the media. As you know, Georgia has closed its airspace for military- type flights, which we have publicly announced. With regard to civil and humanitarian flights, in this part Georgia fully complies with its international obligations. At the same time, we want to clarify that this type of flight does not require special permits, and civil flights in the airspace are carried out on the basis of notification and the provision of relevant information, "the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
At the same time, the department emphasizes that according to the documents and information available to Georgia, the flights that took place in the airspace of Georgia fully comply with international standards and ICAO rules.
