Aram Sargsyan: Aliyev and Erdogan have put their own power on the  line and therefore they are going  va- bank

ArmInfo.Against the background of impossibility solving the tasks set by Aliyev before the Azerbaijani army, participation in the negotiation process is growing  for him more and more and greater relevance. A similar opinion was  expressed to ArmInfo by the chairman of the Party "Republic" Aram  Sargsyan.

"I think that in order to preserve the face of Ilham Aliyev, certain  agreements must be reached. In my opinion, the calls of the President  of the Russian Federation to Aliyev and Pashinyan with calls to start  negotiations contained, among other things, a scenario of agreements  in order to save face," he said.  Sargsyan expressed full conviction  that Moscow and the rest of the civilized world are trying to use a  humanitarian approach towards the dead servicemen and prisoners of  war as a basis for future negotiations.  According to him, even  Azerbaijan has already realized the impossibility of solving the  problem other than through negotiations. "Just a few days ago, Aliyev  himself recognized the invariability of the OSCE MG format in  resolving the Karabakh problem," he stressed.

On October 10, at 12:00, on the basis of the agreements reached in  Moscow by the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the  ceasefire regime, declared for humanitarian reasons, entered into  force. One of the points of the agreements is the readiness of the  parties to substantive negotiations with the aim of an early  achievement of a peaceful settlement exclusively within the OSCE  Minsk Group. Nevertheless, attacks by the Azerbaijani army continue.  Moreover, not only in all directions of the front line in Artsakh,  but also by means of UAVs in the direction of the territory of  Armenia.

Assessing Aliyev and Erdogan in the same dictatorial way, the  Armenian politician stressed that the world has long perceived both  as uncontrollable, deceitful and posing as inadequate sultans. At the  same time, with such demoniacal possession, both are trying to solve  a variety of problems. Against this background, the international  community, according to Sargsyan, still has not decided what is more  important for it:  money, oil or proxy attacks against the enemy, or  peace, democracy and human rights.

Meanwhile, according to his estimates, today the world is directly  confronted with the consequences of the uncertainty of its own  positions. Just as I faced a similar problem, with a person following  a similar path in the 30-40s. last century. And then the world paid a  heavy price for not nipping the spread of the brown plague in the  bud.

"Today, the world should take into account the experience of the  past. Politicians from the US, Germany and other centers of power, on  the basis of their own calculations, are trying to solve problems in  the region through Turkey. However, Turkey has already got out of  their control and, accordingly, is becoming a problem for them.  Neither the United States, nor NATO allies, nor, let alone Russia,  can rely on Turkey today, "he is convinced.

According to the politician, Moscow has already realized Turkey's  desire to gain a foothold in the Caucasus, putting an end to Russian  influence here. Realized the desire to destroy the CSTO, removing the  Turkic-speaking states from there. In this context, a toughening of  Moscow's position on Ankara seems inevitable.

Meanwhile, Aliyev and Erdogan, have put their own power on the line  and therefore go for broke. In this light, according to Sargsyan, it  is extremely important for them to achieve at least a small success  in the hostilities with the Armenian army. After that, it will  already be possible to stop the fighting. In this light, Armenia and  Artsakh, according to him, also need to make every effort to dispel  the Aliyev-Erdogan plans to dust.
