ArmInfo.Iran calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to adhere to the ceasefire regime, continue negotiations in the framework of international law and respect each other's territorial integrity. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Khatibzadeh announced this.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran calls on the two sides for restraint, condemns missile strikes on vital infrastructure, residential areas of cities and the killing of civilians," a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said, expressing regret over the violation of the cessation of hostilities.
Khatibzade also expressed condolences to the families of the victims. He once again called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to "withdraw military forces from the occupied cities," expressing Iran's readiness to simplify negotiations to restore sustainable peace in the region.
It should be noted that despite the agreements reached between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan with the mediation of Russia on the establishment of a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes, which entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 local time, the enemy continues provocations in different parts of the front line, including including striking civilian settlements and infrastructures. At night, the enemy again struck at the capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert. The Ombudsman of Artsakh reported yesterday that at least 5 civilians of Artsakh have died since the ceasefire came into force.
