As a result of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, with the mediation of Russia, the day before, an agreement was reached on a ceasefire, which was to enter into force at 12:00 on October 10.
However, minutes later, after the ceasefire came into force, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that ignoring the humanitarian ceasefire announced on October 10 from 12:00, Azerbaijani units launched an attack on the Karakhambeyli sector at 12:05, and Artsakh Defense Army units undertook appropriate measures to suppress enemy attacks. The fighting continued in other sectors of the front.
