Tbilisi reacted to Moscow agreements on Karabakh

ArmInfo.Georgian President Salome Zourabichvil welcomed the ceasefire agreement in  Nagorno-Karabakh and called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to resume peace  talks. "I welcome the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh and urge the  resumption of peace talks. Lasting peace and stability is the only  acceptable future for our region," Zourabichvil wrote on Twitter.

A statement on this matter was also made at the Georgian Foreign  Ministry. "Georgia welcomes the ceasefire agreement between  Azerbaijan and Armenia and hopes that further negotiations will lead  to progress in resolving the conflict and establishing a lasting  peace, which will contribute to the prosperity and strengthening of  security in the entire region," the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

To note, yesterday, in Moscow on the 12th day of hostilities in the  zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a meeting of the foreign  ministers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and  the Republic of Armenia took place. The meeting took place at the  initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and lasted more than  10 hours, ending at about 3 hours Moscow time.  As a result of the  meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, with the  mediation of Russia, yesterday, an agreement was reached on a  ceasefire, which was to enter into force at 12:00 on October 10.   However, minutes later, after the ceasefire came into force, the  Armenian Defense Ministry reported that ignoring the humanitarian  ceasefire announced on October 10 from 12:00, Azerbaijani units  launched an attack the area called Karakhambeyli, and Artsakh Defense  Army units undertook appropriate measures to suppress enemy attacks.  The fighting continued in other sectors of the front.

Later, the Defense Army reported that the situation was relatively  stable in all sectors of the front, except for Hadurt. In Hadrut, for  the third hour, actions are being carried out to encircle and destroy  the enemy sabotage group, which penetrated this zone before the  ceasefire came into force.
