ArmInfo. Russian President Vladimir Putin made an address on Nagorno-Karabakh, calling on the parties to the conflict to cease hostilities for humanitarian reasons. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
According to the source, the Russian leader held a series of telephone conversations with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Putin pointed to the need to stop clashes in the region in order to exchange prisoners and bodies of the dead.
"The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are invited to Moscow on October 9 to hold consultations on these issues with the mediation of the Russian Foreign Minister," the Kremlin said in a statement.
