Russian expert: Another 2-3 days and the war in Karabakh will quiet  down

At the same time, Mikhail Khadarenok stated that, without a doubt,  the Azerbaijani army is better equipped technically; it has a lot of  modern weapons and military equipment. "But I always had questions  related to the quality of personnel training, especially technical  specialists, who, in fact, determine combat readiness - these are  artillerymen, helicopter pilots and other specialties," the expert  noted. To understand the reasons for the failures of the Azerbaijani  army, he drew attention to the events of the 1990s, when the  Azerbaijani armed forces lost everything. "The whole problem is that  military service has never been popular with Azerbaijanis. Over the  30 years of my service in the USSR and Russian Armed Forces, neither  I nor my colleagues have met an Azerbaijani pilot. When the 4th  Combined Arms Army of the USSR Armed Forces was stationed in Baku  periodically training sessions were held, during which an attempt was  made to train reservists of artillerymen, motorized riflemen from  them, but nothing worked, because they dealt with cooks,  grain-growers, stokers, "the expert noted.

Nevertheless, he continued, for 30 years there have been changes in  the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, but whether they have reached the  required level of quality of personnel training raises great doubts.  "They are already running out of ammunition, another 2-3 days of  fighting and everything  will quiet down. You need to fight quickly,  and you need to achieve success quickly. Having failed to achieve  this, now we should expect the fading of hostilities and only  individual skirmishes, "stated Mikhail Khodarenok.
