ArmInfo.Turkey was directly involved in the preparation of the next attempt of the Azerbaijani blitzkrieg. The Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, academician Ruben Safrastyan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
"The first, evident fact is the live broadcasts of Turkish journalists from the battlefield from the very first minutes of Azerbaijani shelling of settlements in Artsakh. Thus, we have to state the fact that the Turkish media, primarily state-owned, were prepared for the start of the Azerbaijani attack. Turkish journalists knew where and when the hostilities will begin. In a similar way, Turkish diplomatic channels also worked towards escalation," he stressed.
Safrastyan also noted that the information received in recent days through some diplomatic channels and through the media - about the transfer of three hundred terrorists-Turkomans to Azerbaijan from Syria, fully corresponds to reality. According to him, the phased relocation of militants to Azerbaijan also indicates the coordination of actions between Baku and Ankara.
"I have been mentioning the third fact since the very holding of joint Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises in Nakhichevan and in the territories of Azerbaijan neighboring Artsakh. Part of the Turkish armored vehicles, UAVs, missiles, artillery, and even military personnel did not return to Turkey. This also speaks of Turkey's participation in the current military adventure of the Azerbaijani leadership, "Safrastyan concluded.
Starting from 07:10 am on September 27, the settlements, as well as the military units of the Republic of Artsakh, were subjected to intensive artillery and rocket fire by the Azerbaijani army. After that, the enemy's motorized rifle and tank subunits went over to the offensive in the northern and southeastern directions.
There are dozens of injured and two dead among the peaceful population of Artsakh. The Defense Army lost 31 fighters. The losses of the enemy are not published, however, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, on September 27 their number exceeded two hundred. At the moment, the units of the Artsakh army are fighting, repelling the attacks of the enemy.
