ArmInfo. Ilham Aliyev's dictatorial regime resumed hostilities. This is a war declared to the Armenian people. This is a war against our independence, freedom and dignity. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in his address to the people.
According to him, the Artsakh Republic has been subjected to aggression by the armed forces of Azerbaijan since early morning. The civilian population of Artsakh, the capital of Stepanakert, and the civilian infrastructure of the republic are being bombed. There are already casualties and wounded, including among the civilian population. Using heavy weapons, artillery, infantry, the enemy attacks the positions of the Defense Army in all directions. The Defense Army is currently honorably fulfilling its task of protecting Artsakh, taking appropriate measures based on the situation.
As the head of the Armenian government noted, the dictatorial regime of Ilham Aliyev resumed hostilities. This is a war declared to the Armenian people. <This is a war against our independence, freedom and dignity. The Armenian people are ready for this war. Because it was always soberly aware that the hatred, enmity with which the Azerbaijani dictatorship has fed its people for decades cannot lead to any result other than war. The dictatorship of Azerbaijan has become a hostage of its own anti-Armenian policy and today it is trying to justify its propaganda promises to resolve the Karabakh conflict by military means. The Armenian people are ready to deal a worthy blow to the enemy. The Republic of Armenia is the guarantor of the security and independence of the Republic of Artsakh. And the Republic of Armenia with all its potential today stands behind Artsakh, its population and state structure. We will do everything possible and impossible to preserve the inviolability of the borders of our Motherland, to protect our freedom and independence., the Republic of Armenia, which signed a ceasefire agreement since 1994, will take the necessary actions in the political, diplomatic and military fields to ensure the physical security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, forcing the enemy to peace, "said Nikol Pashinyan.
He added that at the moment the enemy is already suffering significant losses in manpower and equipment. <Azerbaijan must understand that the fighting efficiency of our army is today higher than ever. The enemy must understand that today all Armenians support Artsakh. We are united as always. We are united, as at all decisive moments in our history, when the enemy threatened our existence, our identity and our values. The dictatorial authorities of Azerbaijan must understand that it is impossible to bring the Armenian people to their knees. We have had many defining moments and have overcome many difficulties in our thousand- year history. Our cause is just, and this criminal encroachment will also receive a worthy counterattack. We understand very well that the dictatorship of Azerbaijan can start military actions in the direction of the borders of the Republic of Armenia and resort to various provocations to completely destabilize the situation in the region. For this reason, martial law and general mobilization have been declared in the Republic of Armenia by a government decision. I draw the attention of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states and the entire international community to the seriousness of the situation. The beginning of a full- scale war in the South Caucasus, in which we are now, can have the most unpredictable consequences. The situation could go beyond the region and reach a much larger scale, threatening international security and stability. I call on the international community to use all its levers of influence to refrain from any possible Turkish intervention, which will ultimately destabilize the situation in the region. Turkey's aggressive behavior, which was especially dangerous during the July events and continues today, is a matter of grave concern. Keeping this dangerous position on the part of Turkey could lead to the most devastating consequences for the South Caucasus and adjacent regions. The international community should work together to prevent dangerous developments and refrain from any attempts to destabilize the region, "the RA Prime Minister stressed.
He noted that today we are in serious danger. The situation is aggravated by the epidemic. <Consequently, the seriousness of the moment requires vigilance from all of us. Our victory depends on the individual efforts and behavior of each of us and our unity. I urge everyone to show the highest discipline and high citizenship, "concluded the head of the Armenian government.
