ArmInfo.Armenia will not transfer military forces to NKR after the escalation of the conflict with Baku.
Ambassador of Armenia to the Russian Federation Vardan Toghonyan informed the "Moscow speaking" radio station about this.
"Now there is no need of transfer, since the army of Nagorno-Karabakh is taking appropriate measures. According to the information, we know that two tanks were shot down, an Azerbaijani helicopter was shot down, that is, measures are being taken. Are they so powerful and whether they cover the entire perimeter is still being specified. But in any case, there is no need for additional measures, that is, a transfer".
Toghonyan added that Armenia was preparing for the aggression from Azerbaijan back in July. The Ambassador also noted that hostilities are taking place along the entire border. "Military operations began with statements by the leadership of Azerbaijan and Turkey back in July. Preparations went on all this time. Preparation of the population went, but not for peace, as expected, but for war. This rhetoric of Turkey and Azerbaijan was visible, there were joint exercises. In recent days, there was a transfer of militants from the territory of Syria and Iraq. All this led to heavy shelling of the Karabakh capital, Stepanakert, at night. Unfortunately, there are already civilian casualties there. Along the entire perimeter at night, along the entire border, hostilities began. It says that all this was prepared a long time ago in order to start over the entire perimeter overnight," the Armenian diplomat noted.
In the early morning of September 27, Azerbaijan began intensive shelling of settlements in Karabakh, including the capital of Stepanakert, going over to the offensive along the entire line of confrontation. It is known that the enemy lost two helicopters, three tanks and 14 unmanned aerial vehicles. The enemy also has losses in manpower.
