At the same time, he stressed that in this issue the priority for Armenia is the existential physical security of our compatriots in Artsakh and the status of Artsakh.
"We are involved in difficult negotiations. We insist that the conflict can be resolved exclusively by peaceful means. We insist that it must be resolved through mutual compromises, and there can be no solution that is not based on a balance of positions and interests. . We are committed to the cause of peace, security and peaceful settlement of the conflict, "the Armenian minister assured.
At the same time, Mnatsakanyan stressed that large-scale aggression on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border is a serious challenge for the peace process and regional stability.
The minister recalled that in the current situation, all countries of the world showed caution in order not to contribute to further escalation of the situation, and only Turkey showed a one-sided position. "We have witnessed elements of the Turkish military presence in Azerbaijan, we receive news about the recruitment of foreign terrorist fighters and their transfer to our region. Therefore, we cannot remain indifferent to this aggressive policy of destabilization, which is not welcome," the Armenian Foreign Minister added. Speaking about the Armenian-Egyptian relations, the minister stated that the agenda of bilateral relations is deep and saturated. "We also have important platforms for dialogue and cooperation, we have many common positions on a number of regional and international issues. One of the most important principles is a strong commitment to peace, security and stability in our regions, and in this we have a lot in common," - he said.
At the same time, Mnatsakanyan said that one of the most important elements of the Armenian-Egyptian bilateral cooperation agenda is religious dialogue, mutual respect, the ability to live together, the dialogue of civilizations. "Tolerance, stimulating the protection of minorities and religious dialogue, as well as mutual respect are among our foreign policy priorities," Mnatsakanyan summed up.
