ArmInfo. The situation with COVID-19 is stabilizing in Armenia. RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan announced this at a government meeting on August 20.   According to him, over the past day, 263 new cases of coronavirus out  of 1993 tested citizens were recorded. In the health care plan  continues to be more than manageable.

However, taking into account  economic activity and return of citizens will be difficult to ensure  a lower level than what is observed today. The situation, according  to the minister, must be kept, and in this regard, even if the  decline is fixed, it is extremely important to maintain the approved  measures and rules. Arsen Torosyan especially noted that the  situation is often aggravated by the lack of anti-epidemiological  safety measures at enterprises. As an example, he cited 2 textile  enterprises in the city of Vanadzor, Lori region of the republic,  where coronavirus was detected in 50 out of 200 examined persons. In  turn, carriers of the infection bring it home, infecting older  people, which, in turn, leads to an increase in the number of deaths.  The minister emphasized that the region is the leader in terms of the  increase in the incidence in the country on average.  He stated that  this fact is evidence of the lack of proper control at enterprises  over the rules and norms of behavior established by the commandant of  the state of emergency.

In turn, the head of the Bureau for Coordination of Inspection  Bodies' Activities Artur Asoyan noted that the inspection bodies  continue to work actively to maintain the established requirements.  Moreover, this work is carried out not only in terms of inspections,  but also notification of business entities. As a result of this work,  a decrease in the number of violations is observed throughout the  country. So, if in the first 15 days of June 18.2% of violations were  detected, then during the same period in July this indicator  decreased to 5.1%, and in August - to 3.6%. Most of the subjects  support the norms and rules of epidemiological safety.

Meanwhile, according to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in  reality, the concept of stability is relative.  The situation can  change at any moment and become unmanageable. The public, according  to the prime minister, is overly enthusiastic about the outlined  positive dynamics. Compared to July, the cirfs have decreased by  almost half. "Thank God, we managed to provide citizens with the  necessary medical care, but it must be borne in mind that with 100  patients we will have 2-3 deaths. To prevent this, the citizens of  the country must themselves do everything in their power to prevent  such a development of events. It is also important to continue the  active use of the administrative resource, and in this regard the  effective work of the police is very important, "the head of the  Armenian government noted, again urging to actively use masks,  observe social distance and often wash hands. He pointed to the  individual responsibility of every citizen of the country.

Note that according to the latest official data, 263 new cases of  coronavirus have been detected in Armenia over the past day, three  have died. The total number of infected people approached 42,319  people, 35,476 citizens recovered. 5,766 patients receive actual  treatment, 190,560 people tested. In total, 838 people have died  since the beginning of the pandemic, for other, related reasons - 251  citizens.
