ArmInfo. Yesterday's rally in Baku is possible from the point of view of national security issues, Tatevik Hayrapetyan, a MP from the My Step bloc, member of the International Affairs Commission, an expert on Azerbaijan issues, said from the rostrum of the parliament.
The MP said that the rally presented as an action in support of the Azerbaijani army. <However, in fact, it was an anti-Armenian action, during which such slogans sounded as: "Death to the Armenians", "Karabakh is ours" and others. Under strict quarantine conditions, this action would not have been possible if it had not been supported by the authorities. I want to note that this action was aimed at showing that the people of Azerbaijan want war>, Hayrapetyan noted.
She also emphasized that Ilham Aliyev did everything possible to ensure that the anti-Armenian factor was the main factor in consolidation in Azerbaijan. <However, Aliyev himself became a victim of his anti- Armenian propaganda, since very soon the protesters began to demand the resignation of the ministers. After that, the protesters entered the building of the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the authorities finally realized that the continuation of this action could be of crucial importance for them>, the deputy said.
<Yesterday, following a rally in Baku, I was once again convinced that hatred of Armenia and Armenians in Azerbaijan has very deep roots. And today, we are solving a very important strategic issue for ourselves,> Hayrapetyan concluded. To note, a protest rally was held in Baku last night. According to official figures, the rally was held in support of the army, however, the Protestants shouted anti-Armenian slogans. The police began to disperse the protesters, using water cannons and tear gas, however, it was not possible to completely disperse the protesters.
