"The United States strongly condemns the violence on the state border of Armenia and Azerbaijan. We urge the parties to immediately stop using force, use the existing direct channels of communication between them to avoid further escalation, and to strictly adhere to the ceasefire.
As co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the United States remains firmly committed to assisting the parties in reaching a lasting peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We will continue to actively participate in efforts to achieve this goal.
