ArmInfo. By the decision of Judge Anna Danibekyan, the trial in the case of Robert Kocharyan and others was postponed. The ArmInfo correspondent reports about this from the scene.
The next hearing will be held on June 30 at 1:00 pm. The reason for this decision was the absence of former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov's lawyer Mihran Poghosyan. The lawyer asked in writing to cancel the meeting, as he contacted with a coronavirus infected person and must tested for coronavirus.
However, this behavior of the defense side angered the prosecution. The prosecutor said the defense has deliberately delayed the trial. The prosecutor also insisted on submitting the final part of the indictment.
In turn, Judge Danibekyan noted that in the absence of a lawyer, the hearing could not continue.
It should be noted that aside from Kocharyan and Khachaturov, former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan were also involved in the March 1 case. Robert Kocharyan is accused of overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
