ArmInfo.By decision of the US State Department, passport and visa services were suspended in all diplomatic missions of the country abroad. The US ambassador to Armenia Lynn Tracy said this on May 21 during a video conference.
Having expressed her conviction of the ability to quickly restore activity in this direction, the diplomat at the same time found it difficult to set a timetable for resuming the provision of visa services.
Speaking about the decision of the President of the United States to suspend the issuance of visas to foreigners, Tracy urged to familiarize herself with all the details of the restrictions imposed on the embassy's website, in the section on granting visas at the following address:

When asked what to do to U.S. citizens who have expired passports, Tracy emphasized that no passports are issued today, however, the embassy can issue a temporary document proving the identity of the citizen. At the same time, the diplomat added that in the event of such problems, US citizens can contact the appropriate department of the American embassy in Yerevan.
