ArmInfo. The Armenian Foreign Ministry reacted to the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan in connection with the inauguration of the new President of Artsakh in Shushi.
Thus, as the press service of MFA of Armenia reports, press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Anna Naghdalyan, reacting to this statement, stressed: <It's worth mentioning that the threats of war or military posturing communicated either through statements or large-scale military exercises in violations of international commitments, represent traditional components of Azerbaijan's destructive stance, which has no impact either on the positions of the Armenian sides in the Nagorno- Karabakh issue or on the ongoing democratic processes in Artsakh. Nevertheless, they definitely undermine the establishment of an environment conducive to peace, which is necessary for the consideration of substantive issues. Armenia is committed to an exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co- Chairmanship.
Once again congratulating the people of Artsakh on the formation of authorities as result of democratic processes, we would like to reiterate that the Republic of Armenia will continue to closely cooperate with the new authorities, which represent the people of Artsakh in the peace process, and in this context we will consistently protect the exercise of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination without any limitations>.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the eve of the upcoming inauguration of the newly elected NKR President in Artsakh. Once again emphasizing that Azerbaijan does not recognize the elections in Artsakh, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan assured that they do not have and cannot have any legal force. "The participation of the Prime Minister of Armenia in the" provocation "called the inauguration in the city of Shushi is nothing but a black spot on the concept of" democracy "for a person who present himself as a "democrat ". The war is not over yet, and Azerbaijan reserves the full right to ensure its territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders by all necessary means. The corresponding provocative actions of the Armenian leadership nullify practically all efforts for a peaceful settlement of the conflict, and serve to strengthen further military confrontation and increase tension in the region," the AzerbaijaniForeign Ministry emphasized, assuring that they would "restore their territories".
