ArmInfo.On 15 May President Bako Sahakyan received the delegation of the "HALO Trust" organization at the head of the structure's program manager in Artsakh Robert Syfret.
According to the press service of the head of the NKR, issues on the activity extended by the organization in Artsakh were on the discussion agenda.
To recall, the HALO Trust is a British charitable and American non-profit organization engaged in the disposal of landmines and unexploded ordnance, which can be dangerous for civilians. HALO is an acronym for Hazardous Area Life-Support Organization. Founded by member of the British Parliament and former British Army Colonel Colin Campbell Mitchell in 1988. HALO Trust has more than 7,000 engineers. Its employees worked in Nagorno-Karabakh, Cambodia, Mozambique, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Eritrea, Abkhazia, Chechnya, Kosovo, Angola and Afghanistan.
