ArmInfo. Democratic stability has been established in the Republic of Armenia. On May 5, during presentetion of the results of the activities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in 2019, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated. According to him, an authoritarian system of governance has been observed in the country for many years, but we can now say with great conviction that nothing threatens democratic stability. There are no more criminal and mafia forces in the country that could impede the development of Armenia along the path of democracy. According to the results of work done in May 2018 after a non-violent, velvet revolution, almost all world ratings speak of the rapid development of the Armenian state. However, as the head of government noted, in 2019 there were failures, the most important of which is the low level of return of funds stolen from the people. Despite the fact that the Special Investigation Service has returned to the state treasury only 7 times more funds last year than during its entire existence, nevertheless, work in the fight against corruption can be considered unsuccessful. We have more to do in this direction. The entire corruption system with all its branches, mechanisms, persons and cash flows will be revealed at 100%. All corrupt officials will be held accountable, and the money stolen from the people will be returned to the people. Another failure, according to the Prime Minister, is the incomplete formation of a truly independent judiciary. It is an independent judiciary that must play one of the main roles in the subsequent political, social, and economic development of the state. It is important, the Prime Minister continued, to move away from a puppet-controlled system to a truly independent one. Reforms in this area will continue to remain on the agenda of the Armenian government.
