Armenia will receive 92 million euros. The funds will be directed to the implementation of projects to satisfy both short-term and long-term needs.
"The funds will be used to supply medical equipment and supplies, retrain medical staff and laboratory staff, assist small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the business community, social and humanitarian assistance for victims of a coronavirus outbreak. The EU's response follows the logic of the Team Europe approach. It is aimed at attracting investments from all EU institutions and replenishing them with resources mobilized by EU member states, financial institutions, in particular, European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), "the EU said earlier.
The EU reported that they intend to provide assistance to more than 3,000 socially disadvantaged families in Armenia as part of the humanitarian component of financial assistance.
