ArmInfo. One could legitimately ask the question: foreign minister of which country should be trusted. The head of the Bright Armenia parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, said this in an interview with reporters on April 22, referring to the resonant statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov regarding a document for a phased resolution of the conflict on the negotiation table today, then followed a statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Marukyan stated that he believes in Armenia's Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. <I think that the Armenian Foreign Minister should demand an explanation from his Russian colleagues. Moreover, I believe that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan should raise this issue himself, as this issue often becomes the subject of speculation. The situation should be clarified. I can't imagine such a power in Armenia that could make such concessions>, the MP emphasized.
It should be noted that on April 21, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced the course of peace talks on Nagorno-Karabakh. He noted, in particular, that there is a document providing for a phased settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the negotiating table.
In turn, during a press conference, Armenia's Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan noted that there is no such document on the negotiation table. Moreover, the minister said that no decision on Artsakh can be made without the consent of people living in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to him, these are the clear principles by which the Armenian authorities are guided in the negotiation process.
