ArmInfo. Thanks to the temporary restrictions on movement and economic activities introduced since March 25, the intensity factor of coronavirus infection during the week was reduced from 2 to 1.4. This was stated on Facebook by the Deputy Prime Minister, commandant of the state of emergency Tigran Avinyan.
According to him, the higher the ratio, the more people one person can infect. If the coefficient cannot be reduced, then the spread of infection will gradually increase. When planning a policy, aimed at preventing the spread of infection in Armenia, great importance is attached to the index of the rate of infection (temporal reproduction number) Rt and the effective management of its coefficient. "It is on this basis that maintaining social distance and limiting interpersonal contacts are considered important means of combating the spread of infection throughout the world," Avinyan wrote. He added that maintaining these funds would mean that the spread of coronavirus infection would be controlled and that the health system could effectively handle potentially serious cases.
“As a result, we will be able to gradually ease restrictions and gradually return to normal life. So, dear compatriots, I urge you to be more disciplined next week so that you can play your part in preventing the spread of infection,” the commandant noted.
Recall that the state of emergency operates in Armenia from March 16 to April 14. Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously imposed for the period from March 24 to March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusive.
