ArmInfo. Patients who transfer mild coronavirus will be moved from the infectious diseases hospital to hotels and provided with food. This was announced on March 26 by the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
In this regard, he emphasized that the main task in the current conditions is the proper management of the facilities of medical facilities. Most patients, according to the Prime Minister, tolerate coronavirus in a mild form, so their stay in infectious diseases hospitals is inappropriate. The Prime Minister said that this decision to move patients to hotels was made as a result of discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
Pashinyan asked the heads of hotels in Armenia, who are ready to cooperate with the state and can offer their terms and prices, contact the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Armenia. , the prime minister said.
However, he noted the likelihood that some hotels may refuse, due to concerns about the competitiveness of their brand. In this regard, Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan noted that similar practice is applied in other countries, in particular in Israel, where in the country's hotels there are about 1000 patients with a mild form of coronavirus.
"I don't think that a brand competitiveness problem may arise here, since the situation around the world is such that tourism has almost come to a zero mark," Torosyan emphasized.
It should be noted that as of 10:00 on March 26 in Armenia 25 new cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were detected. In total, 290 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 18 people recovered, 1315 tests carried out gave a negative result.
