According to the situation at 09:30 local time on March 18, the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars road leading to the Upper Lars checkpoint continues to be closed to all types of vehicles due to snowfall and the threat of avalanche. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration with reference to Georgian colleagues.
According to the Ministry, there are also roads in Armenia that make travel difficult. So, it is difficult to drive trucks with trailers and semi-trailers on the road expensively through the passes of Keti and Dzhadzhuri.
The Ministry also informed that it is snowing in Tumanyan, Gavar, Maralik, Hrazdan, Noyemberyan, Spitak, Martuni, Aparan, Sevan, Aragats, Talina. It should be noted that Georgia imposed restrictions on entry into the country, in connection with which the Georgian military road was closed for passenger traffic, travel is allowed only for cargo transportation.
