ArmInfo. When crossing the Bavra checkpoint, two foreign citizens were isolated as part of preventive measures to combat the spread of coronavirus. The governor of the Shirak region Tigran Petrosyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
In particular, he noted: "The Armenian-Georgian border is under control. Today, two foreign truck drivers when crossing the Bavra checkpoint had a slight deviation from the normal body temperature, however, according to the procedures, they were isolated, samples were taken for analysis, the results will be known tomorrow. According to preliminary estimates by the doctors, they will very soon be able to continue on their way home>.
Earlier, the governor held a workshop with the participation of a number of responsible departments of the regional administration and representatives of interested organizations. During the meeting, measures and steps to combat coronavirus were discussed.
Recall that Armenia and Georgia, by mutual agreement from 08:00 on March 14, stop traveling for two days by citizens of the two countries. Meanwhile, the restrictions introduced do not apply to cargo transportation. In addition, both countries will provide unhindered entry for citizens who wish to return to their homeland.
