ArmInfo.Armenia attaches great importance to the partnerships established with Germany. This was announced yesterday in Berlin during a meeting with European Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Michael Roth, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is in Germany as part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
As the RA MFA press office reports, during the meeting the interlocutors in detail discussed joint programs and initiatives aimed at expansion of Armenian-German cooperation, affected a wide range issues related to the EU-Armenia partnership agenda. Both sidesm emphasized the role of the Comprehensive and Expanded Agreement the partnership, which is the legal basis of the Armenia-EU partnership, the development of cooperation between Armenia and the EU, as well as with EU Member States. Stressing that the main beneficiaries of the Armenia-EU partnership are people, the Armenian Foreign Minister attached great importance to the beginning of a dialogue on visa liberalization with the EU countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the process of large-scale reforms carried out by the Government of the Republic of Armenia aimed at strengthening democracy, the rule of law, confidence in the judiciary and the fight against corruption.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues on the international and regional agenda.
