ArmInfo. We have repeatedly noted that the formation and strengthening of democratic societies in the region proceeds from the interests of regional stability, development and prosperity. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Anna Naghdalyan for a request to comment on the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Naghdalyan, in particular, noted: "We got acquainted with the assessments of international observers regarding the elections. As noted in the preliminary report of the International Election Observation Mission and in the assessments of the leaders of the observation mission, the elections were accompanied by systematic gross violations " The spokeswoman emphasized that Azerbaijan is again trying to use the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a tool to cover up the failure of democracy in the country and the extremely low level of legitimacy of the elections.
"Azerbaijan's false and empty allegations that Nagorno-Karabakh's representatives were elected as a result of these elections clearly demonstrates Azerbaijan's distorted perception of democracy. The people of Artsakh did not participate in the elections of Azerbaijan either now or throughout the history of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Naghdalyan said.
The latter also reminded that the people of Artsakh will exercise their right to vote in their homeland on March 31 at the next national elections, during which they will choose their representatives - the President and deputies of the National Assembly by will.
