ArmInfo.Having invested 271 mln drams in New Year's events on the Republic Square of Yerevan, it was possible to ensure the growth of money circulation in Armenia by 9.307 bln drams. About this on his Faceebok page under "A conversation with a citizen," stated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, many were skeptical of the idea of sending 271 million drams for New Year's events from December 28, 2019 to January 6, 2020, considering this step by the RA government to be inappropriate. However, the increase in money circulation by 9.307 billion drams compared to the previous year indicates the opposite. Moreover, according to the most conservative estimates, out of the indicated amount of 9.307 billion drams, more than 325 million drams will go to the state budget in the form of taxes. Thus, the head of government continued, having invested 271 million drams, the state will not only return these funds, but will also receive additional income.
He also noted that out of a cash turnover of 9.307 billion drams, more than 4 billion fell on the country's regions. And this, as Nikol Pashinyan noted, indicates that tourists and representatives of the Armenian diaspora spent time not only in the capital of Armenia, but also in the regions. For example, he was impressed by the number of tourists on Lake Sevan, which he visited on January 2. Small kiosks, taxi drivers, and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses were able to take advantage of state investments. Holding such events, as noted by the Prime Minister, provides opportunities for citizens to find a job and solve their problems.
