Armenian Ministry of Education delegation familiarized itself with  British education system

ArmInfo. As part of the visit to London, the Armenian delegation today met with the former Minister of Education of Great Britain Charles Clarke in the British  Council.

As reported to ArmInfo in the press service of the RA Ministry of  Education, Clarke spoke about the British education system and the  challenges facing the reforms. In particular, the parties spoke about  the need to reform preschool education, create a unified system and  develop effective financing mechanisms.

The parties discussed a number of issues related to trends in  improving the quality of teaching and improving practice in higher  education. It was noted that along with an emphasis on improving the  quality of research, measures should be taken to develop the  methodological skills of teachers.

During the meeting, the parties also mentioned the importance of  non-formal education included in the program for reforming  educational systems and online educational programs available online  in the context of cooperation between the employer and the  educational institution.

To recall, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports  Arayik Harutyunyan and Deputy Minister Arevik Anapiosyan are in  London on January 20-22 to participate in the World Education Forum.
